To be admitted into the French Honor Society, students
must meet a demanding list of requirements.
Students who meet these requirements will receive an invitation to a dinner and ceremony held in March. After dinner at Le Monde, initiates go to Madame Waggoner's house for the ceremony, which consists of lighting "chandelles en bleu, blanc, et rouge" (Red, white, and blue candles) and repeating the SHF Motto: "L'homme qui sait deux langues en vaut deux." It costs $2.00 to be initiated, and there is a $5.00 membership fee annually, due at the first meeting. |
