Being enrolled in Yearbook means that you have become a part of the yearbook staff. To officially become a part of the staff, you must be enrolled in Yearbook 2 or above. Here are the positions you could be selected for and the responsibilities linked to that title:
| Title | Responsibility |
| Editor-in-Chief | This student oversees the development of the yearbook from beginning to end. He or she designs the specific sections of the book, helps assign topics and stories to specific students, and puts together the opening pages of the yearbook. This position is usually held by a Yearbook 3 or 4 student. |
| Managing Editor | This student oversees the development of each story in the book. He or she edits all the copy and helps students to develop their stories. This position is usually held by a Yearbook 3 or 4 student. |
| Head Photographer | This student is in charge of overseeing the taking of all pictures for the yearbook. He or she must assign photo opportunities and dates and ensure their quality after printing. |
| Sports Editor | This student writes stories for the sports section of the yearbook. He or she also edits his or her specific pages and ensures that adequate pictures have been taken. |
| Activities Editor | This student writes stories for the activities section of the yearbook. This section includes dances, clubs, productions, etc. that occur at Northwest. He or she also edits his or her specific pages and ensures that adequate pictures have been taken. |
| Student Life Editor | This student writes stories for the student life section of the yearbook. This section includes activities that a student participates in outside of the classroom. He or she edits his or her specific pages and ensures that adequate pictures have been taken. |
| Academics Editor | This student writes stories for the academics section for the yearbook. He or she also edits his or her specific pages and ensures that adequate pictures have been taken. |
