Dances

Student Senate sponsors most of the dances held at Northwest High School.  Devoted members spend hours each week to prepare. Some typical dances are:

• Welcome Back Dance-This dance is usually held the first Friday the students get back from Summer break.  The dance is casual and admission is usually lower than that of homecoming dances.  We usually have a great turn-out and have a wonderful evening!
  
• Fall Homecoming-Fall Homecoming is usually a semiformal dance. Friday before the big game we had a Parade with floats representing the classes, a float of jovial girls (Cheerleaders & Pompon), and convertibles transporting the royalty candidates. The Color Guard lead the parade followed by the Northwest Band and ROTC bring up the rear.

• Winter Homecoming- The theme of the dance will be announced in February and is more casual that the Fall Homecoming. During the week, Student Senate will encourage the student body to participate in Spirit Days. This years Spirit Days are still being discussed. They will be announced, so get ready to show your school SPIRIT!
