2008 - 2009 Enrollment

Near the end of June the parents of all 2008-2009 Northwest students should receive an enrollment packet in the mail. It will contain instructions, forms to complete, policies, and more that you will need for the enrollment and fee payment process prior to the start of the 2008-2009 school year. The enrollment dates for are set for July 28 through August 1. The first day of classes for 9th graders will be August 13 and the first day for all students will be August 14. NW Supports Habitat for Humanity

On June 11, 2008, several members of the Northwest High School student body, staff, and parents participated in the Habitat for Humanity build at 33rd and N. Arkansas. These members of the NW family installed siding, installed insulation, and built a safe room in the bathroom of a house in the Habitat community. To see more pictures of the activity, click here.


13th Street Parking Lot Repair

During the summer of 2007, the Tyler Road parking lot got a much needed redo. This summer, 2008, the 13th Street Parking lot gets its turn! As a result, the 13th Street entrance to the school will be closed throughout the summer. When entering Northwest, please use the Tyler Road entrance and parking lot until further notice.

NW Athletic Director Receives Recognition

The Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association has named Northwest High School AD, Mr. J Means, District 4 Athletic Director of the Year. Mr. Means will receive his award at the KIAAA State Conference held in Hutchinson in March. Mr. Means has served NWHS as AD for five years. Congratulations to Mr. Means for the outstanding job he does every day for the students of NWHS. The award is well deserved.
