Today for lunch we will be having delivery pizza or salad.  Please have your ID ready and know what you would like. Students without an ID will need to wait until the last 10 minutes.

Come out and support your Marching Grizzlies at Band-O-Rama tonight at South High Carpenter Stadium. The exhibition event begins at 7:00 and features all seven high school marching bands. 

Winter sports will have pre-season meetings during Advocacy tomorrow. Meetings start at 2:50. Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball will meet in the gym. Boys swimming will meet in the swimming pool and Wrestling will meet in the commons. If you have interest in participating in one of these sports please attend the meeting on Tuesday, October 28 starting at 2:50.

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Pittsburg State University and Southwestern College will be @ Northwest during Advocacy in the commons tomorrow.  Sign up with Mrs. Cramer in the CCC (A26) for a pass. 

In effort to support Red Ribbon Week, Drunk Driving Prevention, we will be hosting a Substance Awareness Day on Wednesday, Oct 29th. Please wear RED to show your support. This is a COTY event.

Our soccer team will play their first Regional Game on Tuesday!  NW will host Derby High School.  Kickoff is at 7:00. Grizzlies look for your support as they challenge for a trip to the State Tournament.  Go Grizzlies!  

Attention Junior and Seniors:  who would like to take advantage of the Free Tuition offerings from Wichita Area Technical College during the school day for second semester.  You must be in good academic standing for graduation and meet WATC admission requirements.  Please see your grade level counselor Mr. Cathey or Mrs. Robeson if you are interested.  A representative will be coming to Northwest for admission testing on November 4th, in the AM.

It’s time to Kick off Substance Awareness week  Did you know today, 1 in 6 people under the age of 18 who tries marijuana becomes addicted to it? Children and Adolescents are especially vulnerable to addition because they are in the midst of crucial stages of brain development.

Attention Northwest students:  If there is an issue with your second semester schedule that meets the criteria on pages 29 and 30 of the Northwest Agenda then you need to sign up to see your grade level counselor by December 5th in order to look into the possibility of changing your schedule.

The next ACT is December 13th.  The deadline for registering is next Friday, November 7th.  Time is passing quickly so get signed up.  If you need assistance, please sign up to see Ms. Cramer for help.  

Congratulations to Kale Klufa and Trenton Kiefer who placed 4th after advancing to the quarterfinal round of competition at the Garden City Debate Tournament.  Also congratulations to Marie Flores who was recognized as one of the top speakers in the tournament.  Great job everyone, and good luck this week at Wichita Heights, Campus and Trinity Academy.
