There will be no tennis or football conditioning after school this week
 
Learning Center will be closed Wednesday due to conferences. 
 
Our Winter Homecoming dance is Saturday.  If you plan to bring a guest from another school, a Guest Form must be completed by parents & administration from the guest’s school before you can buy tickets. Guests must be at least 14 years old & attending high school & cannot be older than 20 years old. Pick up your form from Pupil Services. Direct any questions to your administrator.

Juniors in Kitchen, Houle or Cox’s classes, turn in your signature sheets for proctors to the counseling office if you still wish to be a proctor.  Otherwise, Ms. Terriere will select from your alternates when scheduling you for next year. 
 
Congratulations to the freshman & sophomore wrestlers on a great tournament last weekend at South. NW had 15 wrestlers compete & 11 of those came back with medals. Your champion from this weekend was Josh Carter at 195 pounds.  NW is in action again next weekend at the City League Championships. The varsity & JV both are looking to defend their championships from last year. Retain the crown, grizzly wrestlers!
 
Voting begins today for your 2016 winter royalty. The candidates for the Freshman class are Jacob Minter, Logan Angelmeyer, Tristan Baker, Miki Harkins, Jaycee Allen, and Zoe Carter. For the Sophomore class your candidates are Max Osbourne, Javin Dixon, Jordan Trotter, Lily Balderas, Shania Cook, and Shanice Gitingo. For the Junior class the prince candidates are Joey Vaness, Javier Gonzalez, Andrew Adams, and the princess candidates are Kyra Brown, Alycia Gervais, and Ashley Romero. Finally for the Senior class the king candidates are Lane Stanberry, Tyreec Washington, and Noah Fair. The queen candidates are Taja Loggins, Dana Daher, and Aerin McCoy.
 
Tomorrow is Glow it Up Wednesday! Dress in Neon and bright colors to show your spirit. Check in at the table in front of pupil services at lunch to get counted for your class. While you are there vote for royalty and purchase your homecoming ticket. Be sure to take your picture with your friends in front of the back drop by the counseling office.
 
This Valentine’s Day why not eat your heart out with a H.A.L.O. Valentine’s Day Cupcake? Stop by our H.A.L.O. table during both lunches Wednesday and Thursday and purchase one for $1.00. 
 
Be sure to look for your name on a yearbook flier in the commons today during lunch! Bring it to the yearbook table to claim a piece of candy!
 
Congratulations to the Northwest Forensics Team who brought home four medals from Southeast High School’s Invitational tournament. Senior Cat Sutton took 6th place in Poetry Interpretation, Senior Whitney Clum took 5th in Prose Interpretation, Freshman Kaitlyn Johnson took 6th in Prose Interpretation, and Freshman Carrington Thom took 4th in Program of Interpretation. Way to go Grizzly Forensics
