Hutchinson Community College is hosting a Fire Science Day for Juniors and Seniors on Wednesday, October 8th from 9AM – 4PM.  Pre-registration is required and space is limited. See your grade level counselor or advocacy teacher for registration information.
 
October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness month.  Northwest Grizzlies for Change asks everyone to wear a blue shirt on Monday, October 6th in support of bullying prevention awareness.
 
Yesterday the Lady Grizzly Golfers finished 2nd in the Carroll Invitational, setting themselves up to potentially win their first City League Title in over ten years. Senior Alex Jennings shot 1 over par 37 to win the tournament while Senior Lexi Clark shot 4 over par 40 to finish 3rd. Way to go Lady Grizzlies!
 
Culinary Applications class is selling BBQ chicken tacos and Chipotle Guacamole for $4 on Thursday.  Following the grizzly paws at the 13th street entrance for your BBQ chicken tacos and guacamole on Thursday.
 
Juniors who will be attending the Futures Fair need to stop by the CCC before or after school, during lunch or in between classes to complete the online registration for the fair.
 
This Friday Northwest plays West in football at Northwest Stadium and for the first time in Northwest history Northwest High School will be the visitor. Due to Northwest Stadium being a district stadium West High School will be the home team and they will sit on the home side. Northwest student activity tickets will NOT be good at this game and Northwest students, band and fans will sit on the visitors side. Come out Friday and cheer on your Grizzlies.

Our soccer team will host East High today.  JV kicks off at 5:15 followed by the Varsity at 7:00. Your attendance is greatly appreciated!  Go Grizzlies!!
