Attention Northwest Students: There was an incident after the football game last Friday night where an object was thrown from a white Pontiac – 2 door vehicle. If you know anything about this incident, please call crime stoppers at 973-6013 or text “Speakup” plus your tip to CRIMES – 274637. Rewards will be given for any tip that leads to the apprehension of the suspect.
Come out and support your Marching Grizzlies at Band-O-Rama this Monday, October 27, at South High Carpenter Stadium. The exhibition event begins at 7:00 and features all seven high school marching bands.
Winter sports will have pre-season meetings during Advocacy on Tuesday, October 28. Meetings start at 2:50. Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball will meet in the gym. Boys swimming will meet in the swimming pool and Wrestling will meet in the commons. If you have interest in participating in one of these sports please attend the meeting on Tuesday, October 28 starting at 2:50.
Attention Juniors and Seniors, Pittsburg State University and Southwestern College will be @ Northwest during Advocacy in the commons on Tuesday, October 28th. If you are interested in visiting with them please sign up with Mrs. Cramer in the CCC (A26) in order to receive a pass.
In effort to support Red Ribbon Week, Drunk Driving Prevention, we will be hosting a Substance Awareness Day on Wednesday, Oct 29th. Please wear RED to show your support.
The ACT test is this Saturday. It will begin promptly at 8 AM. Do not be late. Make sure you have your admission ticket printed with your picture on it, your photo ID, your number 2 pencils and your calculator. You will meet in the commons for room assignments and general announcements before testing begins. See you Saturday.
Our soccer team will play their first Regional Game on Tuesday! NW will host North High. Kickoff is at 7:00 Grizzlies look for your support as they challenge for a trip to the State Tournament. Go Grizzlies!
Attention freshman and sophomores there is an Essay contest on “how knowledge of the dangers of drunk and drugged driving has helped you make smart, drug free decisions as a teenager”. First place wins $100, 2nd place wins $75, and 3rd place $50. Turn these into your Advocacy Teachers by October 31st and staff turns these into Communities In Schools for contest entry.
